Teaching with Curiosity, Creativity, and Compassion
Meet Mr. Rozar
History/Social Studies Teacher
CURIOSITY is such a core belief for me, as a person and as a teacher. Curiosity is what drives us to learn, understand, and adapt. When we're curious about the world, ourselves, and each other, we open doors rather than close them.
CREATIVITY makes life more fun. For a long time I wanted to make movies. My original bachelors degree was in Film Production. That might sound like a big jump to teaching history, but I love finding ways to tell stories in an interesting, engaging, and meaningful way. I always look for opportunities to allow my students to express themselves creatively and show their individuality.
COMPASSION is what connects us. The number one thing that drew me to teaching was the opportunity to be a listening, caring presence in the lives of young people. Compassion gives us a moral compass, and through that a purpose without which life would lack meaning.
