BOOK RECOMMENDATION: White War, Black Soldiers: Two African Accounts of World War I

I love being able to connect content to prior learning. This book contains two works from the 1920s: Strength and Goodness is the personal account of Bakary Diallo, an Senegalese soldier who fought for the French at the Battle of the Marne. The other work is Lamine Senghor's The Rape of A Country, a provocative work critical of European Imperialism and the Great War.
